2006 Visitor Info Centre Of The Year Awards

2006 Visitor Info Centre of the Year Awards

The gala awards night held on the final evening of the 2006 QICA conference in Winton saw us all frocked up, the dust brushed off and the revelry of the previous two evenings held slightly at bay.

The inaugural awards night was gratefully sponsored by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) and was opened by the CEO of Tourism Queensland, Ian Mitchell, who travelled all the way to Winton just to attend our gala evening.

There were some very worthy nominations for these prestigious awards, however in the end there can be only one winner in each category. QICA would like to recognise and congratulate all of the following winners:

Winner: Babinda VIC

Category Three - $1,000 First Prize
