Description

The Oaks on Facing Island are pristine, relaxed, beachfront camping grounds, located on the north-west side of Facing Island, a short distance from the Ferry drop off point at Farmers Point. There are 35 unpowered campsites on the Island, suited to self-sufficient campers. Composting toilet are provided at the campgrounds. Campers should be aware that wood and charcoal fires are not permitted therefore you should bring gas or kerosene fuelled stoves. Bookings are required and can be made through the Gladstone Visitor Information Centre. Southend is situated on the southern end of Curtis Island, just 12kms from mainland Gladstone, the camp grounds offer 20 unpowered sites with ocean views. The camping grounds have limited facilities, so visitors are recommended to bring enough provisions for their trip, including gas and barbecues. Composting toilets are located at the grounds, however you may bring a chemical toilet for longer visits. Bookings are required and can be made through the Gladstone Visitor Information Centre.

Cancellation Policy

The Gladstone Regional Council has a 'NO Refund' policy for bookings where the customer changes their mind doesn't attend on the dates booked or misses the barge. Any other booking refund requests must be submitted to info@gladstonerc.qld.gov.au accompanied by a copy of the booking voucher and details of reason for requesting a refund.
