Community Rent Scheme: Provides subsidised short to medium term self contained independent accommodation for up to 68 low income households in the Gladstone, Boyne Island and Tannum Sands regions. All applicant households must be listed for public housing in these regions, be in receipt of a low income and have a primary housing need. Foster, Kinship Care and Specialist Care Program: Is responsible for recruitment, training, assessment and support of foster carers and their families providing care to children and young people in the temporary or permanent care of the Dept of Child Safety. Supervised Contact Visit Program: Is a 'Fee-for-Service' program for the Dept of Child Safety. Family and Adolescent Support Program: Provides family and individual counselling to enhance capacity to care for children/family/individual relationships. Referrals primarily from DOCS. Healthy Minds Program: Aims to support, resource and advocate for individuals, families and carers about mental health. Provides community awareness & education. Also aims to reduce the impact on individuals/families and community. LIFE For Children Program: This program forms part of a continuum of care that has been developed for children and young people who are subject to Child Protection orders and have been identified as having high, complex or extreme support needs. All referrals to this program are received from the Department of Child Safety who will actively be involved in the assessment process.
