YOUNG'S BUS SERVICE is a locally owned business established by the late Stan Young in 1949. His family - wife Joan, sons Philip and David, and daughter Margaret - now continue to run the business with 45 dedicated staff operating a fleet of 30 vehicles. Vehicles in the fleet include Mercedes Benz, Scania, Dennis Dart, Volvo, Man and Leylands. There are 4 wheelchair accessible vehicles which are utilized on services and are depicted on the timetables by the wheelchair symbol.

Young's provide a vast network to the Capricorn Coast with 12 services per day from Rockhampton to the Capricorn Coast, 17 services between Yeppoon and Emu Park daily, and 32 services in Yeppoon areas five days a week, with services decreasing on weekends. They now carry more than 2,900 passengers on their services daily.

Compare this to 55 years ago when the Capricorn Coast was provided with one return service per week to Rockhampton, and didn't connect with other routes as it does now.

Young's is keeping up with the latest technology by going SMART. The new system will provide state of the art ticketing technology which will benefit the travelling public throughout Young's Network.
