Overview
Location & Directions

Cobbold Gorge is unique, hidden away within the rugged sandstone formations of North Queensland. This gorge is extremely narrow, closing to a mere two meters wide in places, with spectacular 30 meter cliffs on either side. The overall length of the gorge is about six kilometres and consists of a series of water-holes and rock falls, however only the last 500 meters is accessible by flat bottom boat.

Description

Access to Cobbold Gorge is by Guided Tour Only. Two Cobbold Gorge tours operate daily from the village and range from pure relaxation to soft adventure, or experience the sheer excitement of a helicopter flight over the property. To cruise through this gorge is an awesome and unforgettable experience. Cobbold Village offers an open bush setting giving a feel of warm hospitality while staying in this idyllic location. A range of accommodation is on offer from comfortable air-conditioned rooms to bush camping.
