News

From Saturday, April 4, the Lorikeet Arena will be opened up for free entry to celebrate Queensland’s 150th birthday. Just like the early days of this great Queensland icon, you can feed the lorikeets for a gold coin donation.

You can also explore the retail outlets and enjoy fresh local produce for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Café Sanctuary - and, if you wish, purchase entry to enjoy a full day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

The arena precinct will become the centre of a refurbished dining and retail experience, while also providing a venue for free community events and entertainment.

The Lorikeets feed at the Sanctuary from 8:00am-9:00am and at 4:00pm-5:00pm each day, just as they did when Alex Griffiths founded the Sanctuary more than 60 years ago. So come back to Currumbin and celebrate with us!
