The purpose of Gladstone Area Water Board is to ensure the long and short term water needs of current and future customers are met in ways that are environmentally, socially and commercially sustainable. The Gladstone Area Water Board also seeks to contribute to the community by providing exceptional recrational facilities at Awoonga Dam and a recreational fishery.
Hours:
as follows: the waters of Lake Awoonga are open 24 hours a day; the recreation area opens at 7am and closes at 8pm daily. NB: the Lake Awoonga recreation open is open 365 days per year. Goondoon St office hours are from 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
